OUR CAFÉ
From here for here: our café ‘Zuhause’ at Wörthstr. 21 is a non-profit place for our neighbourhood around the water tower.
Here you can chat without having to buy anything. Children do handicrafts and knitting enthusiasts get creative together. Music is played, free tutoring is offered and help with homework is provided.
Clubs and initiatives are also welcome and can develop ideas here.
The ‘Zuhause’ is therefore not a real café. It is a place where people can meet free of charge.
All neighbours are welcome here. The café is run by volunteers and neighbours. We are financed purely by donations. Thanks to our sponsors, the Mercator Foundation and our District Council, you can get your coffee here for free.
Questions & Answers
It is not a real shop or a café in the traditional sense, but a meeting place for everyone in the neighbourhood around the water tower. So it’s for you, your neighbours, for young and old and for anyone curious.
We have various offers for you. From Monday to Friday, you can simply drop in alone or with others during the “open door” – for a free coffee, tea or water. But you don’t have to drink anything.
We have a book exchange cupboard, a suitcase with little things to give away and a pinboard where you can offer or search for things.
Our café is free of charge for you. Thanks to the support of the Mercator Foundation and our volunteers, everything we offer is based on donations. If you can and would like to give something, we look forward to receiving your donation in our piggy bank.

he language café brings together people
who do not yet speak German well or
want to learn German together.
It is not a ‘normal’ language course. Here we drink coffee or tea and talk about everyday topics, such as living or working in Germany.
Sarah takes part every week. She can
help with questions about the German language or other important topics.
The language café is free for everyone. People who speak German as their mother tongue are also very welcome.
We look forward to making contact with new people!
